Associate Director, Financial Analytics
Collaborate with the Director to design and expand the structure of financial/business Data, develop automated internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. Lead IT audit and work with Finance teams.
Summary
You will collaborate closely with the Director to design and expand the structure of financial/business Data across the organization, to develop automated internal controls and support strategic decision-making.
Moreover, you will lead the IT audit and work closely with other Finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency between Management reports and accounting/treasury tools.
This role combines financial expertise, data analytics, and business acumen to instill a solid data-driven vision in the Finance department of a rapidly scaling fintech environment.
You will partner closely with the Accounting Director, Treasury, Business Control, Data Analysts, and Product teams.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, automation and maintenance of data models that support reporting, auditing, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
Collaborate with Data Analysts to build those data models, and improve existing ones after investigating edge cases
Partner with business leaders and engineers to translate new products into existing/new data models
Manage and mentor a team of finance analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, accountability, analytical rigor and autonomy.
Partner with Data Analysts and Accounting teams to ensure consistency between financial statements and analytics models
Lead the IT Audit process and partner with Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close processes
Desired skills and competencies
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
Fluency with SQL
8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Analytics or Strategy, ideally in fintech, financial services, or technology
Familiarity with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and modern finance tech stacks
Deep Accounting knowledge and financial reporting (ideally US GAAP)
Proactive and autonomous, able to drive multiple projects simultaneously, and know when to escalate issues or ask for support
Excellent leadership, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
