RF Engineer
Design, develop, and maintain advanced phased arrays and RF electronics for military radar applications, requiring experience in RF electronics and related tools.
The Anduril Battlespace Awareness Radar team develops state-of-the-art radar systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The Radar team is seeking a RF Electrical Engineer to help us design, test, and deploy the next generation of US radars. The Radar team is responsible for all aspects of radar system development, from the ideation stage through initial production. In this role, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary technical team to define radar architectures, design solutions, build prototypes, perform testing, and mature the prototypes into products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced phased arrays and RF electronics for military radar applications
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance our radars in various environments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain our technological edge.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering or related field.
- Previous experience ins RF electronics, phased arrays or related radar electronics and antenna design, development, and testing.
- Proficiency in RF design and analysis tools (see below)
- Proficiency in RF measurements equipment such at Network
- Knowledge of PCB Design (schematic capture, layout), preferably with Altium experience
- Electronic systems engineering (design specification, part selection, test planning, etc).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S security clearance.
TOOL FAMILIARITY:
- Ansys HFSS or comparable electromagnetic simulation tool
- Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) or comparable RF circuit design tool.
- Altium or comparable electronics design tool
- Test equipment such as signal analyzers, RF network analyzers, Near Field Scanner, etc.
- Programming languages to support electronics design, simulation, and testing (Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in RF/Microwave Engineering
- Experience in RFIC/MMIC design using Cadence Virtuoso or comparable tools.
- Active Phased Array Radar
- Beamforming technologies and approaches
- Array antenna simulation design and manufacturing
- Advanced PCB technologies for high frequency RF and high density routing and interconnect
