Lead Estimator/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team at D2B. In this remote role, you will lead the estimating team and oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns for construction projects. You will play a key role in managing the estimating process, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency across residential and commercial projects. You will also support tendering and project planning, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to deliver competitive and precise estimates that align with project requirements.
Position: Lead Estimator/Quantity Surveyor
Salary: PHP 120,000 - PHP 160,000/month (flexible for more experienced candidates)
Working Hours & Conditions: Mondays to Fridays, AU/NZ business hours; 6:00AM to 3:00PM PH Time; full-time (remote)
Holidays: TBD
Responsibilities:
- Leading and mentoring a team of estimators/quantity surveyors
- Preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns
- Reviewing and validating estimates prepared by junior team members
- Supporting tendering and bidding processes
- Collaborating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure pricing accuracy and project alignment
- Implementing processes to improve estimating efficiency and cost control
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven experience in leading a team of estimators in a fast-paced construction environment..
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in construction, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing or mentoring a team.
- Experience working on Australian/New Zealand construction projects is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Ability to read and interpret Australian/New Zealand construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience using estimating and take-off tools such as Pryda, Mitek, Bluebeam, CostX, PlanSwift, Excel, or similar software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, review, and guide junior estimators/quantity surveyors.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio is required to demonstrate previous estimating and project experience.
