Logistics Specialist needed to ensure smooth item movement from seller to buyer, requiring 3+ years of experience in logistics.
The 1stDibs Logistics team is responsible for ensuring that every item moves smoothly from seller to buyer across the world.
The Logistics Specialist will play a critical part in the company’s success by driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a space where trust, timing, and precision are everything. Focussing on our freight and in-home delivery services, you’ll be working closely with Account Management, Customer Service, and Operations to achieve the best possible outcomes and services for our buyers and sellers.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for providing shipping quotes for all our service levels, including both international and US Domestic shipments
Booking shipments with freight and white glove carriers in a timely manner
Monitor and ensure shipments are picked up and delivered within designated timelines and meet shipping deadlines.
Handling any in transit events - e.g. customs documentation, potential damages, delays
Keeping internal teams up to date on the progress of shipments and collaborating to provide solutions for any in transit issues
Understand and contribute to internal process tied to logistics:
Maintain tracking and data logging to ensure effective work between team members and departments
Offer customer and seller support as it relates to shipping, and interface with order support teams, tracking information, shipment status inquiries
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain
- Thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Ability to effectively adopt and integrate emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, into daily work to improve outcomes and efficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships internally and externally.
- Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration
Nice to Haves:
- E-commerce and Salesforce experience a plus!
- Experience shipping one of a kind furniture and luxury items is a bonus
