Research Analyst
Research Analyst needed for quantitative research, data-driven insights, and audience analysis. Requires 3+ years experience in research/data analytics.
JOB PURPOSE
The Research Analyst will be a cornerstone of DEPT's growing research department, with a focus on quantitative research and data-driven insights (but capacity to abridge to qualitative methodologies). Leveraging platforms like GWI, this role will support client projects, media planning, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quantitative research, coupled with either experience or the capacity to develop expertise in the area of quantitative field research. Beyond technical expertise, the role demands collaboration across teams, ownership of high-priority projects, and a proactive approach to enabling others to use research insights effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the go-to expert for GWI and other key research tools, leveraging these platforms for tasks such as audience profiling, media planning, and customer journey mapping. Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the team is equipped with the latest capabilities, providing training and knowledge sharing to maximize impact across the agency;
- Conduct in-depth audience segmentation, demographic profiling, and behavioral analysis for client projects;
- Build scalable dashboards, templates, and methodologies that can be used across DEPT® teams;
- Ensure insights are actionable, concise, and tailored to the specific needs of strategists, creatives, and account teams;
- Explore opportunities for quantitative field research, including developing methodologies and processes to collect and analyze firsthand data;
- Supporting the development of a global center of excellence for research at DEPT®. The goal is to deliver consistent, high-quality insights for top global clients, positioning research as an integral, monetized service within the agency.
- Document best practices and create guides to promote broader adoption of research capabilities.
- Support with researching for pitches, client briefs, and larger projects;
- Take responsibility for research deliverables, ensuring high quality and timely outputs;
- Collaborate with strategists and other departments to design methodologies that meet client objectives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of experience in quantitative research or data analytics (preferably within advertising, marketing, or consulting);
- Advanced knowledge of GWI or similar platforms, with hands-on experience in building dashboards and conducting in-depth analysis;
- Demonstrated ability to explore and implement quantitative field research methodologies, or a strong interest in developing this capability;
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights;
- Highly organized with strong time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping, media planning, social media platforms, analytics tools, and emerging trends in advertising, marketing, and technology;
- Experience in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to streamline research and enhance insights. A total nerd at heart that gets joy from “tinkering”;
- Passion for data-driven decision-making and enthusiasm for empowering others;
- Located in Macedonia and directly available to start working;
- Full professional proficiency in the English language (both written and spoken).
