Key Duties and responsibilities
- Inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventative maintenance such as routine servicing, diagnosis of worn parts, diagnosis of electrical issues and customer complaints.
- Conducting repairs as required on work orders in accordance to manufacturer standards and specifications
- Using Diagnostic equipment and or referring to manufacturer specifications and manuals
- Dismantling faulty component assemblies and replacing worn or damaged parts
- Keeping workshop equipment functional by following operating procedures, maintaining supplies and performing preventative maintenance
- Working with manufacture schematics to trace and fault find electrical issues
Education and Experience
- At least 5(CXC) passes including English Language and Mathematics
- City & Guilds certificate in motor vehicle engineering or other relevant qualifications from and accredited institution.
- At least three (3) years of previous experience in a similar position would be an asset
- Knowledge of basic health and safety requirements and procedures
- Knowledge of Ev and Hybrid vehicles
Other requirements
- The successful candidate must posses a valid manual Barbados Drivers License, as well as a valid Police Certificate of Character
