Key Duties and responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventative maintenance such as routine servicing, diagnosis of worn parts, diagnosis of electrical issues and customer complaints.
• Conducting repairs as required on work orders in accordance to manufacturer standards and specifications
• Using Diagnostic equipment and or referring to manufacturer specifications and manuals
• Dismantling faulty component assemblies and replacing worn or damaged parts
• Keeping workshop equipment functional by following operating procedures, maintaining supplies and performing preventative maintenance
• Working with manufacture schematics to trace and fault find electrical issues

Education and Experience

• At least 5(CXC) passes including English Language and Mathematics
• City & Guilds certificate in motor vehicle engineering or other relevant qualifications from and accredited institution.
• At least three (3) years of previous experience in a similar position would be an asset
• Knowledge of basic health and safety requirements and procedures
• Knowledge of Ev and Hybrid vehicles

Other requirements

• The successful candidate must posses a valid manual Barbados Drivers License, as well as a valid Police Certificate of Character
