By joining our rapidly growing Financial Due Diligence Analytics practice, you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients. You'll bring your first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and deep functional knowledge to deliver tailored, data-driven solutions that help private equity and corporate clients navigate complex transactions—solving today's challenges while setting the foundation for lasting value creation. As a Director at CrossCountry Consulting, you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, business development, leading teams and developing junior team members, as well as serving as a member of CrossCountry's leadership team.
What You'll Do:
Client Delivery: Lead the development and delivery of services in the following areas:
- Spearhead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements(including carve-outs and divestitures) , guiding clients through the full transaction lifecycle—from initial risk assessment through deal close and post-transaction support.
- Direct the development of quality of earnings (QoE) analyses, net working capital assessments, normalized EBITDA evaluations, and cash flow analyses that surface key value drivers, risks, and opportunities for clients.
- Oversee the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions—including data modeling, interactive dashboards, and visualization outputs—that transform complex financial datasets into executive-ready insights.
- Drive hypothesis-led, data-enabled approaches to uncover performance trends, margin dynamics, revenue quality, and balance sheet considerations that inform deal valuation and negotiation strategy.
- Integrate leading analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python) into diligence workflows to accelerate delivery speed and enhance the depth of client insights.
- Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
- Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
Practice Leadership: Serve as a key leader in the FDD Analytics practice by:
- Overseeing client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fee negotiations, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases, covering strategy, goal setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan.
- Leading business development efforts and marketing a full range of FDD Analytics services to prospective clients—including private equity sponsors, corporate acquirers, and lenders—leveraging existing relationships to generate new opportunities.
- Developing timely resolutions to issues, mitigating deal-related risks, and addressing project team conflicts in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Building scalable delivery methodologies and new FDD Analytics service offerings that differentiate CrossCountry in the market.
- Cultivating the next generation of analytics talent by establishing coaching frameworks, delivering performance feedback, and sponsoring junior team members' professional growth.
- Managing teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
What You'll Bring:
- In-depth knowledge of financial due diligence concepts including quality of earnings, net working capital analysis, pro forma adjustments, and deal structuring considerations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with analytics and data platforms such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R, and the ability to apply these tools within a transaction context.
- Consistent success in building and developing strong client relationships with private equity firms, corporate development teams, and lenders across multiple industries.
- Proven experience identifying new growth and shared revenue opportunities by collaborating with sales leadership to generate new business, expand existing relationships, and increase bookings.
- Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
- Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
- A passion for mentoring and leading teams while efficiently implementing new ideas and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- CPA, CA,or CFA certification preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or a related field within a public accounting or professional services environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.
