E-Commerce Marketplace Operations & Data Coordinator
Company Overview
We are a U.S.-based consumer products company selling through major online marketplaces and national retailers. Our business operates across multiple e-commerce platforms, internal systems, and logistics partners, requiring strong coordination, data accuracy, and operational follow-through.
We are seeking a true remote team member who can operate as an extension of our internal marketplace operations team.
Role Overview
This role supports the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce marketplace ecosystem, ensuring product data accuracy, campaign execution, order flow, and internal follow-ups across systems.
This is not a customer-facing role, but it is internally front-facing. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating across cross-functional teams to identify issues, follow through, and drive resolution.
The role reports directly to the Marketplace Operations Lead and is expected to grow in responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketplace & Product Operations
- Manage and maintain product item creation using Excel-based data feeds
- Upload, update, and troubleshoot product data attributes across marketplace platforms
- Monitor and resolve rejected listings, feed errors, and taxonomy changes
- Perform routine product scrubs to ensure data accuracy and system alignment
- Campaign & Sponsored Product Support
- Support setup and monitoring of sponsored product and brand campaigns
- Pull reporting data from campaign platforms and summarize results
- Track budgets and ensure campaigns are properly configured and running
- Order Flow & Issue Resolution
- Monitor order flow to ensure orders move correctly from marketplace to warehouse
- Identify stalled, delayed, or unshipped orders
- Proactively follow up with internal teams to resolve fulfillment issues
- Ensure resolution is confirmed, not just initiated
- Internal Communication & Follow-Through
- Coordinate daily with logistics, operations, and internal teams
- Follow up persistently on unresolved issues until completion
- Escalate risks that may impact retailer scorecards or performance metrics
- Maintain operational momentum and accountability
Reporting & Data Support
- Pull reports using Excel (including pivot tables where needed)
- Maintain operational trackers and performance summaries
- Support leadership with clean, accurate data visibility
- Systems & Tools
- Excel (required – strong fundamentals, comfort with reports and pivots)
- Marketplace feed platforms (training provided)
- Retailer portals and internal systems (training provided)
- Canva (nice to have, not required)
- Prior experience with specific platforms is not required. Training and documentation will be provided. Comfort working in data-heavy environments is essential.

- Strong operational and analytical mindset
- Solid Excel fundamentals (filters, formulas, basic pivots)
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfortable navigating multiple systems simultaneously
- Confident internal communicator (email, follow-ups, coordination)
- Proactive problem-solver who does not wait to be told what to fix
- Strong follow-through until resolution is confirmed
Preferred Profile
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or operations support
- Comfortable working with data feeds, SKUs, UPCs, and inventory logic
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams (logistics, ops, sales support)
- South Africa–based candidates preferred due to communication style and ownership mindset
Work Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Core preference: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time
- Open to slight shifts (e.g., 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET) if beneficial for operations

- Initial onboarding and training period expected (90 days)
