We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support our clinical and administrative teams. This role is ideal for someone with experience working within U.S. healthcare systems who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping improve patient access to care.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented bilingual (English and Spanish) Clinical Triage & Intake Specialist to support our U.S.-based orthopedic team.
This role is ideal for candidates with a medical or clinical background (MD, RN, or equivalent) who are comfortable working within structured protocols to support patient communication and clinical workflows.
You will serve as a key extension of our care team—organizing, documenting, and prioritizing patient concerns, while ensuring accurate and timely communication with providers.

Responsibilities
Clinical Communication & Triage
• Review and convert patient voicemails into structured telephone encounters• Assess urgency of patient concerns (post-op issues, infection concerns, pain escalation, etc.)• Route messages appropriately based on protocol and priority• Support inbox (EHR) message management
Intake & Care Coordination
• Assist with FMLA and disability paperwork processing• Support prior authorizations and insurance documentation• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and actionable
Documentation & Systems
• Document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR)• Maintain high-quality, structured, and compliant documentation• Follow orthopedic and post-operative care protocols closely
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are specifically seeking candidates with strong clinical reasoning and healthcare experience, including:
• Foreign-trained MD (preferred) or medical school training• Registered Nurse (RN) or clinical healthcare background• Minimum 2+ years working with U.S. healthcare systems• Experience with Epic or other EHR systems• Experience in triage, scribing, inbox management, or care coordination
• Fluent, professional English (written and verbal)• Strong understanding of medical terminology• Ability to follow structured protocols and workflows• High attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to work independently in a remote environment• Strong sense of urgency and prioritization

Schedule
• Ability to support U.S. clinic hours - ~8am-5pm CST
