Job Description
Primary Function of Position:We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Commercial Operations for Taiwan.Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations, Asia, this role will be responsible fordriving sales alignment, commercial excellence, and organizational capability acrossTaiwan and APAC’s direct markets.
The Senior Manager will collaborate with regional and country leadership to establish,coordinate, and scale commercialization strategies that accelerate growth, strengthensales execution, and enhance Intuitive’ s standards of excellence. The role includessupporting key sales roles and programs, developing global customer reference sites,and leading strategic projects that enable the region to meet and exceed its commercialobjectives.
This position requires close partnership with market commercial leadership to alignbusiness priorities, deploy resources effectively, and ensure consistent field execution.Core areas of responsibility include strategic planning, sales enablement, leadershipdevelopment, and performance optimization across multiple business units.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, a deep understandingof how to align with customers, and the ability to clearly convey how Intuitive’s technologies and products create meaningful value for hospitals, care teams, and patients. They should have a proven track record of leading and developing high- performance commercial teams, inspiring others across diverse cultures and markets, and communicating with clarity, empathy, and impact.
This position requires an extraordinary degree of collaboration, organization, andleadership while engaging with customers, executives, and commercial teams.Applicants must reside in Taiwan.
Roles & Responsibilities:• Commercial Excellence Scalabilityo Coach and train individual and leadership expectations and crossfunctional ways of working.o Teach and measure region wide competency and efficiency by role,activity, and market maturity to ensure fundamental sales skills are scaledacross all markets.o Collaborate with the commercial learning team on the creation anddelivery of sales training content for the on-boarding of new hires, salesskill training courses and new leadership development programso Develop and foster the understanding and adoption of Intuitive culture inall markets
• Cross Functional Management of Commercial Strategieso Work with APAC General Managers and sales leadership to prepare andexecute go-to-market procedure, product and digital portfolio launchexcellence.o Work with the local and regional leadership teams to develop quarterlymilestones that when executed helps the team to achieve their annualperformance expectations.o Work closely with various corporate business units and enabling functionsto align and implement new strategies and/or programs prioritized byregional and market leadershipo Assist APAC sales leadership with training and coaching clinical,specialty, capital, and key account sales activities while in the field.o Identify and assist the market teams in developing incremental hospital,surgeon and care team key opinion leaders that can become globalreference sites showcasing the value of our systems, learning and serviceofferings.o Teach the sales teams to effectively manage and incorporate salesmetrics to drive da Vinci program expansion and growth
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:• Minimum of 10 years of medical sales and marketing experience with knowledgeof the operating room environment (preferred)• 5+ years of commercial leadership or management experience• Understands how to successfully implement clinical and capital sales processes• Clear ability to work effectively across various functions and business units• Proven ability to inspire and influence across diverse teams and cultures• Considerable expertise presenting and defending evidence with internal andexternal C-Suite decision makers• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Extensive travel required (up to 70+%)• Minimum BS/BA Degree required• Master’s Degree Preferred
