Engagement Manager - Modern Data Platform Implementation

We are seeking a Senior Engagement Manager with proven experience in leading data projects using Agile methodologies. This role requires expertise in managing Databricks platform implementations and migrations, with a focus on healthcare industry data projects. About the Role

As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of Databricks-based Modern Data Platform implementations. You will lead client engagements from inception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value data solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client engagements for Databricks platform implementations and migrations from legacy systemsApply Agile methodologies to manage project delivery, ensuring iterative value creation and continuous improvementDevelop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using modern tracking tools and approachesManage project dependencies, risks, and issues with sophisticated tracking mechanismsServe as the primary point of contact between client stakeholders and delivery teamsCollaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and adhere to best practicesConduct regular status meetings and provide transparent reporting on project progressManage project scope, timeline, and budget to ensure successful delivery within constraintsIdentify and mitigate project risks proactivelyDrive client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycleIdentify opportunities for additional services and project extensionsFacilitate knowledge transfer to client teamsDocument project outcomes, lessons learned, and best practices

Qualifications

6+ years of experience managing data projects, with a focus on Agile delivery methodologiesProven track record of successfully implementing data solutions in the healthcare industryExperience with Databricks platform implementations and migrations from legacy systemsStrong understanding of modern data architecture, including Lakehouse conceptsExpertise in Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)Experience with modern project tracking tools and dependency management approachesExcellent client relationship management skillsStrong communication and presentation abilities at all organizational levelsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into business valueExperience managing cross-functional teamsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferredProfessional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent
