About the team and the role:
As a Business Developer Marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in expanding eBay’s seller base in France. You will identify, engage, and onboard new professional sellers and brands to enrich eBay’s marketplace, driving both selection and growth. You will be the face of eBay to the French seller community, building strong relationships and enabling long-term success on our platform. This role combines strategic business development with hands-on execution and cross-functional collaboration.

What you will accomplish:
Proactively identify and engage professional sellers, brands, and merchants in key categories for the French marketplace.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of seller opportunities from outreach through conversion.
Lead onboarding efforts to bring new sellers live on the eBay platform, working closely with internal onboarding, operations, and support teams.
Ensure sellers understand eBay’s value proposition, tools, and policies to set them up for success.
Use insights to refine outbound approaches and seller value messaging.
Report progress and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience in business development, sales, marketplace growth, or e-commerce (B2B focus preferred).
Proven track record in prospecting, acquiring, and managing business partners or sellers.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with excellent interpersonal communication.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a high-growth business.
Fluent in French and English (verbal and written).
