The Team
The Key Account Manager – Hospital Sector (PACA) plays a dual strategic role, combining Key Account Management and Pharmaceutical Promotion responsibilities. Reporting to the National Sales Director, this position is responsible for developing long‑term, high‑value partnerships with national and regional hospital accounts while ensuring high‑quality, compliant promotion of Mundipharma products to healthcare professionals within hospital settings.
This role works closely with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Market Access, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, and SFE, and contributes directly to hospital product listings, portfolio growth, and sustainable commercial performance across the PACA region.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Account Management – Hospital Accounts
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development and performance of key hospital accounts across your assigned territory. Your responsibilities include:
- Design and implement a hospital account development strategy through structured Key Account Plans, reviewed and updated on a monthly basis.
- Build and maintain long‑term strategic and commercial partnerships with national and regional hospital decision‑makers.
- Coordinate and lead actions to secure and maintain hospital product listings for the Mundipharma portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with Market Access and the Director of Tenders to ensure successful inclusion of existing and new products in hospital formularies.
- Analyze sales performance and commercial effectiveness indicators (SFE) to provide strategic recommendations and optimize account plans.
- Collect and escalate pharmacovigilance data, product complaints, and safety information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Pharmaceutical Sales & Medical Promotion
In your role as Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for compliant and impactful product promotion. Your responsibilities include:
- Promote Mundipharma products and portfolio to targeted hospital healthcare professionals, in line with approved communication strategy, training materials, and product positioning.
- Implement and manage an omnichannel engagement strategy, including face‑to‑face visits, remote detailing, approved emails, and telephone interactions.
- Develop, execute, and monitor a multichannel call plan for each promotional cycle.
- Manage and control an annual promotional budget, ensuring proper use through CRM event modules and full compliance with internal processes.
- Conduct sector performance analysis to guide activity planning, investment decisions, and performance optimization.
- Organize and host medical information meetings (RIP, staff meetings) while optimizing the allocated Public Relations budget.
- Propose and execute public relations initiatives, subject to approval by the National Sales Director.
- Represent Mundipharma at regional and national congresses and professional healthcare events.
- Maintain accurate and compliant CRM documentation, including call activity, opt‑ins, and healthcare professional data.
Compliance, Ethics & Governance
- Operate at all times in full compliance with ethical standards, the Charter for Promotional Information, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Adhere strictly to transparency regulations, data privacy laws, and anti‑gift legislation governing interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Respect defined visit coverage and frequency requirements, in accordance with healthcare professionals’ availability and site‑specific rules.
- Ensure alignment with Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory‑approved communication strategies.
- Collect and report pharmacovigilance information and product complaints promptly and accurately.

What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in Key Account Management and/or hospital pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong understanding of hospital ecosystems, market access, and product listing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Market Access, Marketing, Medical, and SFE teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- High level of autonomy, organization, and budget management capability.
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance, ethics, and pharmacovigilance obligations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and multichannel engagement models.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
