Solutions Engineer
The Team You’ll Work With
We're looking for talented Solutions Engineer to join our AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa) Investors team. Our customers are primarily Venture Capital, Private Equity and Private Credit Funds. Carta's platform allows these clients to track and manage their portfolios while liaising with their investors.
As a member of the Solutions Consultant team, you will collaborate with the Go-To-Market team in their sales process with investment firms to identify and build the best solution for the customer. Our offering includes fund administration services, portfolio management, investor management, investor portal, digital KYC and data collection. We offer a tech-focused platform for investment managers to manage their investment portfolio, fundraise and manage investor relationships. They are supported by a best in class team of fund accountants that they will work with on a day to day basis.
You will partner closely with the Sales, Fund Administration, and Product teams to be an expert on our product and service offerings.
You will work with new venture capital funds as they navigate the process of forming a new fund. That process involves advising them on best practices and referring them to additional vendors which may include fund formation lawyers and tax professionals. You will also work with established and upmarket fund managers, providing consultative advice to help them improve their fund operations and LP communications with Carta’s industry leading technology.
The Problems You’ll Solve
- Impart confidence and gain trust and faith of the prospects in Carta’s holistic set of solutions, spanning across assets, funds, and allocators. Tactically, entails accompanying the Go-To-Market team on calls with investment firms to understand in depth the customer needs and pain points, “connect the dots” to scope a solution and communicate the business impact to key decision makers
- Partner closely with all team members of the Fund Admin team (in particular Delivery and Product teams) to lead the technical aspects of sales cycles and partnership conversations. ‘Technical’ refers to product and fund accounting knowledge (such as financial and equity technicalities including but not limited to waterfall, financial reporting, analytics, etc.).
- Interface (pre sales) with prospects and strategic channel partners to scope requirements and build confidence in Carta’s products. Lead technical demos of Carta products. Communication fluency with executives particularly in finance and legal domain is required.
- Provide product and technical financial expertise to drive meaningful progress towards a team quarterly revenue goal.
- Be a key contributor to the Carta product roadmap based on holding in-depth conversations with prospects. Partner closely with R&D ,sales and delivery leadership to achieve this.
- Provide technical coaching to all members of the Go-To-Market team as needed
- Support BD team at partner offsite seminars and events
About You

- You are a qualified accountant with 7+ years of experience in accounting or another relevant area such as corporate finance.
- In-depth understanding of fund structures (Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Private Credit)
- A strong understanding of Venture Capital or Private Equity, ideally with regards to back office fund operations and fund administration.
- Proven track record of stakeholder management or client relationship management and excellent communication skills.
- You will have an interest in software products built to solve technical financial problems. You will be interested in talking to prospective customers,helping them to build and solve their operational problems.
- Passionate about transforming private markets across the Middle East & Africa regions
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in a SAAS customer facing role
- Experience in a Fund Accounting / Fund Administration role.
- Knowledge and experience of Middle East fund regulations, especially across DIFC, ADGM, and Saudi Arabia.
