Global Partner Solutions Lead
Lead the Global Partner Solutions team, supporting partners and merchants through onboarding and ongoing engagement, and influencing the product roadmap.
Block is building new commerce experiences for merchants and PSPs through Afterpay, Cash App Pay, and Clearpay, and Cash App Afterpay. As part of Block's Merchant Services team, you will lead our Global Partner Solutions team, working with business development and sales managers to explain our product, services, and APIs to partners and our most complex merchants during the sales process.
We are remote-first company and you will be a part of a distributed team.
You Will
- Manage a team of Partner Engineers.
- Support partners and merchants through onboarding and ongoing engagement, addressing technical and operational needs.
- Build custom reports, troubleshoot integration issues, and develop sample API integrations to assist partner implementations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and prioritize new features for partner and merchant needs.
- Be a liaison between product, engineering, partners, and sales teams to influence the product roadmap.
- Communicate new product features and updates both internally and externally.
- Travel up to 20% of the time to support partnerships and internal collaboration.
You Have
- 5+ years of experience working directly with external customers — including merchants, partners, or businesses.
- Management experience, specifically managing Partner Engineers.
- Experience working with sales leaders.
- Ability to influence product development and advocate for customer needs.
- Skill in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences (and vice versa).
- Experience presenting to technical and executive audiences both impromptu and using structured presentations and demos
- A curiosity and experience learning new technologies and solving technical challenges.
- Experience leading technical projects.
- General knowledge of the payments industry.
- Background in software development or other technical fields.
