Compliance Senior Associate
Seeking a Compliance Senior Associate to provide regulatory guidance, implement compliance frameworks, and manage risk assessments for the UK business.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Senior Associate to report to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Providing regulatory and compliance guidance to the Coinbase UK business.
- Support the implementation of robust compliance frameworks that meet our organisational needs.
- Ensure frameworks align with FCA Handbook requirements.
- Coordinate and manage compliance risk assessment processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate regulatory risks effectively.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee compliance policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and effective.
- Design and, if required, deliver compliance training programmes to enhance awareness and understanding across the organisation.
- Facilitate and manage interactions with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Establish and maintain governance and oversight arrangements.
- Provide expert advice on compliance matters including Consumer Duty, complaints, Financial Promotions and other FCA Handbook requirements.
- Drive small adhoc targeted projects focusing on elements of the UK compliance program.
- From time to time provide assistance to the Compliance Department by completing other activities over and above those listed in the duties listing, appropriate to your skills and experience.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 5+ years prior experience in Compliance or risk management roles
- Experience working with and implementing UK regulatory requirements e.g. MiFID requirements, SMCR, Fin Prom, DISP, Consumer Duty and those relating to e-money firms.
- Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective time management.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced remote environment.
- Keen interest in digital assets.
- Team player, willing to tackle tasks large or small.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong in collaboration and liaising with stakeholders to move processes forward.
Nice to haves:
- Professional Compliance or finance qualification and membership of a recognised professional body would be advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
- Experience working at or with crypto exchanges or fintech companies.
Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision)
Pay Range:
£73,710—£81,900 GBP
