About the Client
Our client is a leading custom cabinetry and interior design company with over 40 years of experience delivering high-end residential projects across South Florida. We specialize in luxury kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and whole-home cabinetry, handling design, fabrication, and installation in-house to ensure unmatched quality and attention to detail.
About the Role
You will be responsible for designing custom kitchen cabinetry layouts, producing accurate technical drawings, and supporting clients through design iterations. This role is ideal for Architects or Interior Designers with strong cabinetry knowledge, space-planning expertise, and the ability to work closely with production and installation teams.
You must combine technical skill, creativity, precision, and client-facing professionalism. If you excel at detail-oriented design work, understand construction terminology, and thrive in structured workflows, this role fits you.
A key part of this position is the ability to stay organized, be proactive, and consistently stay on top of tasks and follow-ups to ensure projects move forward smoothly and no details are missed.
Kitchen Cabinetry Design & Drafting
Create detailed kitchen cabinetry layouts based on client specifications
Produce technical drawings, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings
Ensure measurements are precise and aligned with manufacturing standards
Revise and update drawings based on client or production feedback
Client & Project Coordination
Collaborate with U.S.-based teams on design requirements
Present design options, explain layouts, and support project decisions
Maintain consistent communication through email, meetings, and shared platforms
Interpret client sketches, photos, or architectural plans into cabinetry layouts
Track open items, maintain organized task lists, and ensure all follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
Technical Support for Production
Provide accurate drawings for fabrication and installation
Identify potential issues in measurements or construction feasibility
Adjust layouts based on field dimensions or site conditions
Ensure all plans follow U.S. cabinetry and millwork standards
You will assist with both design-related and general administrative tasks as needed, including calendar updates, ordering materials and parts, and creating content for social media and LinkedIn.
Process Excellence & Documentation
Maintain version control of all drawings and revisions
Organize project files clearly and consistently
Follow established workflows and deadlines with precision
Use project management tools and drafting platforms as required
Proactively monitor tasks, deadlines, and project progress to ensure nothing falls behind
Required Qualifications
Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Experience in residential interior design with drawing capabilities
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Layout, or similar drafting/rendering tools
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and measurements
Strong understanding of construction terminology and cabinetry assembly
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week)
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with U.S. contractors, builders, or manufacturers
Knowledge of NKBA standards
Experience using 2020 Design (bonus but not required)
