Treasury Manager
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing Renmoney’s liquidity, funding, and treasury risk framework, ensuring adequate liquidity to support loan growth, optimizing funding costs, and maintaining strict compliance with CBN regulations applicable to finance companies and microfinance-regulated entities (where applicable).
The role provides leadership in liquidity forecasting, scenario analysis, stress testing, funding strategy execution, ALCO support, and stakeholder management, while upholding the highest standards of integrity, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liquidity Management & Forecasting
Own and manage Renmoney’s daily, weekly, and medium-term liquidity position
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts aligned with loan disbursement and repayment cycles
Ensure adequate liquidity buffers in line with internal policy and regulatory expectations
Monitor liquidity ratios, early-warning indicators, and funding gaps
2. Scenario Analysis & Stress Testing
Design, implement, and review liquidity stress tests and scenario analyses (base, adverse, and severe)
Assess the impact of funding withdrawals, market shocks, and portfolio stress
Recommend contingency funding actions and risk mitigation strategies
Present stress-testing outcomes and recommendations to ALCO and Senior Management
3. Funding Strategy, Markets & Execution
Develop and execute funding strategies across bank borrowings, Commercial Paper (CP), REPOs, and alternative funding structures
Demonstrate a strong understanding of money market instruments and derivative products used for funding and risk management
Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, investor appetite, and rollover risks
Optimize cost of funds within approved liquidity and risk limits
4. Commercial Paper (CP) & Capital Markets
Support the structuring, issuance, and management of Commercial Paper programmes
Liaise with issuing houses, trustees, rating agencies, and investors
Monitor CP maturity profiles and refinancing risks
Ensure compliance with regulatory, documentation, and disclosure requirements
5. Banking & Counterparty Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with deposit money banks, financial institutions, and market counterparties
Negotiate funding lines, pricing, covenants, and terms
Manage counterparty concentration and diversification
Act as Renmoney’s primary treasury interface with banking partners
6. ALCO & Management Reporting
Prepare and present comprehensive ALCO packs, including liquidity dashboards, funding analysis, stress-testing results, and market outlook
Provide clear, actionable recommendations to ALCO
Track and implement ALCO decisions and resolutions
7. Risk Management, Controls & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations, including requirements applicable to Microfinance Banks and finance companies (as relevant)
Ensure adherence to internal treasury policies, approval limits, and delegation of authority
Maintain strong treasury controls, segregation of duties, and audit trails
Support internal audit, external audit, and CBN examinations
8. Stakeholder Management (Internal & Regulatory)
Collaborate effectively with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Business Teams
Support engagement with regulators and respond to regulatory inquiries
Translate regulatory developments into operational and policy actions
9. People Management, Ethics & Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop treasury team members
Review and validate treasury analyses and reports
Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and compliance
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
MBA or MSc Finance – added advantage
Professional, Regulatory & Mandatory Certifications
Mandatory / CBN-Recognised
- Microfinance Certification Programme (MCP) – mandatory or in progress, in line with CBN requirements for Microfinance Bank and regulated financial institution staff
Professional Certifications (Strongly Preferred)
CIBN (Associate or Full Member)
ACI Dealing Certificate or ACT (AMCT / CTP)
CFA (Level I or II) or FRM – added advantage

7–10 years of experience in Treasury, Financial Markets, or Banking / Non-Bank Financial Institutions
Strong exposure to liquidity management, funding structures, CP issuance, and ALCO processes
Experience in a microfinance or consumer lending environment is an advantage
