The Senior Enterprise Applications Administrator plays a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and innovation of our enterprise applications. With a focus on managing application settings, gathering business requirements to solve new challenges, contributing to solution design, delivering new functionality, and providing advanced end-user support and training. The Senior Enterprise Applications
Administrator serves as a technical subject matter expert, fostering collaboration across teams, and implementing solutions that solve complex business challenges, enhance user proficiency and satisfaction within our enterprise ecosystem.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Configure and optimize enterprise applications to ensure alignment with business goals, scalability, and performance.
● Play a key role in developing and deploying new features, functionalities, or customizations to support high-priority projects and business objectives.
● Perform thorough testing and quality assurance efforts for developed features or enhancements to guarantee functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness.
● Identify opportunities for process enhancement, automation, or optimization within enterprise applications to improve efficiency and user experience.
● Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new requests, translating them into technical specifications.
● Contribute to the design and architecture of new solutions or enhancements within enterprise applications based on gathered requirements, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with business needs and objectives.
● Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues faced by end-users, offering in-depth guidance and solutions.
● Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for intricate technical problems and user inquiries.
● Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to disseminate best practices and promote user proficiency.
● Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, solutions, and support procedures, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
● Help define and enforce governance policies and procedures related to application configurations, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and user access.
● Help evaluate emerging technologies and their potential application within the enterprise environment.
Recommended Experience & Education
Minimum Years of Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and an
advanced degree
Education Level Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, physics, math, or another related field or equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications
Required
● Proficiency in managing and configuring enterprise-level applications, such as ERP systems, CRM platforms, HRIS applications, etc.
● Expertise in configuring and customizing application settings, including user roles, permissions, workflows, security settings, fields, page layouts, and automation tools.
● Capability to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, efficiency gains, and user experience improvements within enterprise applications.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex business challenges and identify innovative solutions within applications.
● Ability to align technical decisions with broader business strategies and long-term objectives.
● Project planning, task prioritization, and time management skills to successfully contribute to projects, ensure deadlines are met, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
● Excellent communication skills to engage with end users and stakeholders, gather requirements, present solutions, and facilitate effective collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
● Ability to create comprehensive training materials, user guides, and documentation to support end-users and internal teams.
● Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement within the application ecosystem.
Preferred
● Master’s degree in engineering, technology or related discipline.
● Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to manage the development and deployment processes effectively.
● Experience implementing or supporting system integrations
● Application-specific certifications and/or training completion acknowledgements demonstrating advanced proficiency
● Thorough understanding of best practices related to development, deployment, change management, and version control
● Experience in mentoring junior team members, providing guidance, and sharing expertise to foster skill development within the team.
Physical Demands
