WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, develop, and implement advanced GNC algorithms for autonomous vehicles and systems, ensuring precise trajectory tracking, stable flight, and accurate maneuvering.
- Develop and validate sophisticated control systems, state estimation techniques (e.g., Kalman filtering), and trajectory optimization methods for complex dynamic environments.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and systems engineers to integrate GNC solutions, ensuring seamless interaction with sensors, actuators, and computing platforms.
- Simulate, test, and analyze GNC system performance using advanced modeling and simulation tools, identifying and mitigating potential flight risks.
- Contribute to the entire lifecycle of GNC systems, from conceptual design and algorithm development to implementation, verification, validation, and flight testing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Foundational Knowledge: A solid academic background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, with a specialization in control systems and dynamics.
- Expertise in GNC Principles: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in designing and implementing GNC algorithms and control systems for aerospace or autonomous vehicle applications.
- Algorithm Development & Implementation: Proven success in developing and implementing GNC algorithms, including areas such as trajectory generation, state estimation (e.g., Kalman Filters, Particle Filters), and control laws (e.g., PID, LQR).
- MATLAB & Simulink Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation, algorithm development, and analysis of dynamic systems.
- Driven by Mission Success: A proactive drive and enthusiasm for developing GNC systems that are critical for mission success, safety, and operational effectiveness in demanding environments.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
