[Senior/Lead] Business Intelligence EngineerWork directly with senior stakeholders across technology and business to shape how data is used in the organization. You will take ownership of a cloud based data platform and drive its next stage of growth. This role is about building solutions that are actually used and making data a core part of decision making.
The Team:We are a Business Intelligence team focused on turning complex data into clear and actionable insights. We work closely with the business, move fast, and take ownership of what we build. Responsibilities:
- Design and lead the development of scalable data solutions that deliver reliable and actionable insights across the organization
- Drive the evolution of the data model to ensure it supports both current and future business needs
- Architect and oversee data pipelines that efficiently ingest, transform, and serve data for analytical use cases
- Define and drive best practices in data modeling, data quality, and performance optimization across the BI platform
- Develop and optimize semantic layers that enable self-service analytics and consistent reporting
- Guide the design of dashboards and analytical products to ensure clarity, usability, and business relevance
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic goals
- Identify opportunities to enhance the platform with advanced analytics and AI where it adds real value
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or similar roles, with a proven track record of delivering end to end data solutions
- Advanced SQL skills and confidence working with large and complex datasets
- Proven experience designing scalable data models and building production grade data platforms
- Hands on experience with modern data warehouses, ideally BigQuery
- Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines in production environments
- Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or similar
- Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt or Dataform
- Experience with Power BI and a strong understanding of semantic layer design
- Solid understanding of cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders
- Interest in modern data practices and awareness of AI capabilities
