Sr Business Analyst
Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our product engineering team. This role is embedded within technology development and works closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and Operations to design, refine, and deliver scalable workflow-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical depth, technical credibility, and hands-on experience working within complex, rule-based SaaS systems.
Core ResponsibilitiesTranslate business and operational needs into clear, implementable user stories and acceptance criteriaModel end-to-end workflows, including exception handling and state transitionsCollaborate closely with Engineering during design and build cyclesValidate functionality using data and system behaviorSupport production triage and root cause analysisDrive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and challenge incomplete requirementsMentor junior BAs where applicable
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Technical & AnalyticalHands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and analysisStrong understanding of system workflows and backend data flowsAbility to independently analyze production issues and support root cause investigationExperience working within Agile product development teams
Product & Workflow DesignExperience collaborating on UI designs using Figma or similar toolsAbility to create detailed process maps, user journeys, and workflow documentationStrong experience defining business rules and configuration logic
Delivery & OwnershipWrites clear, testable user stories with structured acceptance criteriaBreaks down epics into implementable incrementsParticipates actively in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demosDrives UAT coordination and validation5+ years of Business Analyst experience in product or technology development environmentsExperience working in SaaS or enterprise workflow-driven systems
Healthcare Experience Required 3–5+ years of experience in US Healthcare technology, preferably within claims processing, submissions workflows, eligibility, or revenue cycle systemsStrong understanding of the US claim lifecycle, including submission flows, payer interactions, rejections, and exception handlingExperience working with systems that support payer-facing workflows, clearinghouse interactions, or regulated healthcare transaction processingFamiliarity with US healthcare operational and compliance considerations impacting submissions and workflow design
Good to HaveUnderstanding of REST APIs and JSON payload structuresExperience documenting integration flows or data mappingsExperience in healthcare technology or regulated industriesFamiliarity with batch processing or event-driven systemsExperience with reporting or dashboard toolsExposure to operational KPI definition and performance metricsExperience mentoring or leading other analystsFamiliarity with tools such as Postman, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence
