Network/Security Specialist
What success looks like in this role:
We are looking for a motivated Network / Security Specialist with a strong focus on networking to join our growing security team. You will work on impactful security projects, including large-scale encryption networks, helping customers design, build and operate secure infrastructures.
You will be involved in the full lifecycle of our solutions — from design and proof-of-concepts through testing, deployment and long-term support. You will also act as a trusted technical advisor to customers on networking and security topics.
This role requires regular on-site presence in our Diegem office and lab, where you will work hands-on with hardware, test environments and security platforms. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership, and continuously developing their expertise in networking and cybersecurity.

What you will do
You will play a key role in analysing, building and operating secure network solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Network & Security Analysis
- Reviewing customer network and security capabilities
- Assessing and analysing security posture
- Mapping and analysing data flows and processes
Lab & System Administration
- Building Proof-of-Concept (PoC) environments
- Setting up and maintaining the lab environment
- Handling day-to-day lab operations and troubleshooting
Testing & Automation
- Testing and troubleshooting new equipment
- Validating operational procedures and documentation
- Automating security infrastructure testing
- Automating staging and pre-provisioning processes
Deployment & Migrations
- Supporting staging, pre-provisioning and rollout of solutions
- Assisting and guiding customers during migrations
- Providing higher-level support for delivered solutions
Documentation & Coordination
- Creating and maintaining operational procedures and manuals
- Writing activity and test reports
- Tracking issues and following up with vendors and partners
- Gathering and managing legal, business and technical requirements
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is considered an asset
Must be prepared to work onsite at the office/lab in Diegem for multiple days per week
Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn
Knowledge of computer networking and network security
Some years of experience within the field
Eligible for EU Secret Security Clearance
Some experience with network infrastructure deployment and maintenance is a plus
Experience with Linux (CLI and network configuration)
Familiarity with automation tools (such as Ansible) and scripting languages (like Bash or Python) is an advantage
