About the Team

The New Verticals team is all about expanding DoorDash beyond Restaurants, and helping deliver anything our Customers want. Our Fulfillment team ensures that we can fulfill every order with speed & accuracy and improve customer experiences. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product toolings and launching operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.

About the Role

We're looking for a Manager to join our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team to build and shape the future of DoorDash with our New Verticals Fulfillment team focused on Inventory Quality.

The Inventory Quality pod is focused on step-changing Customer outcomes through understanding what is in-stock and out-of-stock at every New Verticals store on DoorDash. You’ll do this by shaping the strategy and driving the rollout of cutting-edge AI/Machine Learning technologies, driving partnerships, and leading successful product launches.

We operate in a hybrid model; we do try to get the team together once a quarter in person and all of our offices are open should you choose to go in. You will report to a Senior Manager on the team.

• Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
• Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers. 
• Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes.
• Analyze. You’ll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate quickly based on data.
• Lead and collaborate. You’ll work with a cross-functional team, including marketing, finance, legal, support, design, product, data science, engineering, and operations to build this new line of business for DoorDash.

• You have 6-9+ years of experience - preferably in strategy & operations, consulting, investment banking, tech, etc.
• You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
