Senior Consultant, Business Process Excellence & AI

As a Senior Consultant, you will accelerate our customers’ digital transformation journeys and contribute to Celonis’ global growth. Your business process expertise will be central to this role, helping organisations in industries such as financial services, insurance, and the public sector optimise back-office functions like Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), Claims Management, and Case Handling. You identify our customers’ strategic priorities and develop data-driven process insights using SQL and create complex data models to ensure that customers receive maximum value. You leverage the newest features and functionalities of the Celonis software, such as Process Analytics, Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

The work you’ll do:

• Lead and drive the implementation process while delivering exceptionally high levels of service to ensure the optimal solution for our customers with our Celonis technology 
• Analyse and optimise processes such as Finance, Procurement, O2C, R2R, Claims, and Case Handling
• Transform the customer’s data using SQL to create the data model for your process analysis
• Design and implement innovative analyses and operational apps and enrich them with AI or Machine Learning algorithms to make the customer’s processes transparent and automated 
• Analyze the data to identify process inefficiencies and understand the root causes to jointly suggest approaches to overcome them
• Quantify the business and financial potential and present the most relevant KPIs and improvement areas to the management 
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Conduct value workshops to develop business cases and align measures to improve process inefficiencies 
• Set the foundation of the path-to-value to make the long-term customer success journey happen

The qualifications you need:

• Experience: 3+ years in IT consulting, management consulting, process improvement, or a related field
• Industry focus: Ideally experience in financial services, insurance, or the public sector  
• Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL (or another programming language such as Python, R, Matlab). Familiarity with AI/ML and their application to process optimization is a strong plus
• Languages: Strong communication skills in German and English, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Mindset: Business-focused, visionary, and eager to combine process expertise with technology to deliver customer impact
• Analytical ability: Excellent problem-solving skills, structured, and quick to adapt
• Education: Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
