Software Engineer, Modeling and Simulation, Discovery

As a Software Engineer focused on Modeling and Simulation on the Discovery team, you will develop, integrate, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of both first-party and third-party vehicles across various domains, including satellites, missiles, and radars. You will be responsible for integrating these models with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing systems, as well as federating simulation systems to enable complex simulations involving third-party systems. Beyond building our systems, you will also work directly with customers to deploy them. Above all, a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer must embody a Whatever It Takes mindset—executing tasks expediently, scalably, and pragmatically while keeping the mission at the forefront. You will make sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes on time and with high quality. Beyond building our systems, you will also work directly with customers to deploy them.
