General Job Purpose

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in a QC role within paint, coatings, or chemical manufacturing.
Knowledge of Paint formulation, pigment dispersion, and performance testing.
Familiarity with ASTM, BIS, or ISO testing standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and lab data management systems.
Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished paint products.
Verify batch conformity using standard methods such as viscosity, density, gloss, adhesion, drying time, color matching, Paint film defect & film parameters.
Operate and maintain lab instruments such as spectrophotometers, viscometers, pH meters, Gas Chromatography & Paint physical testing equipment
Perform calibration and preventive maintenance as per SOPs
Record test results accurately in lab notebooks and digital systems (e.g., LIMS, SAP).
Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA), deviation reports, and customer-facing quality summaries.
Ensure adherence to ISO standards, environmental regulations, and internal quality protocols.

Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, following PPE and chemical handling guidelines
