DESCRIPTION:Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior R&D Manager and contribute to technology development at a leading organization serving science. You'll guide important initiatives that help make the world healthier, cleaner and safer while managing teams across multiple technical disciplines. In this role, you'll provide strategic leadership for product development programs, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver solutions that address customer needs. You'll support and enable your team to achieve technical excellence while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in complex technical product development• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related scientific/technical field• Professional certifications in project management, Six Sigma, or related areas are a plus• 5+ years of people management experience leading technical teams• Proven track record delivering innovative products from concept through commercialization• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, IVD, pharmaceuticals)• Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and stage-gate processes• Excellent project and program management capabilities• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders• Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities• Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams• Experience with quality management systems and regulatory requirements• Proficiency with product development tools, methodologies and best practices• Strong business acumen and customer focus• Ability to influence and collaborate across global matrix organizations• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed• Experience with agile development methodologies preferred• Background in relevant technical domains (e.g., instrumentation, software, assays)
