Job Description
Your Career We expect office-based employees to be in the office three days per week, with two days working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together three days per week. Our global internship program trains the next-generation of cybersecurity talent across a range of specializations, from threat intelligence to information security, engineering and marketing. Interns and recent graduates can learn about the network security industry from leading thinkers, grow their professional networks, and be part of a career-defining experience. As a Sales Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with several business development teams and territories. This is entry-level into the Palo Alto Networks sales organization and this group is responsible for the generation and qualification of prospective customers. Past projects have ranged from account research, assisting with marketing campaigns to generate new leads, and calling on leads from prospective new customers. Our Summer Internship Program from May-August or June-September provides you: 1:1 mentorship Fun and engaging events that inspire your intellectual curiosity The opportunity to expand your knowledge and work on challenging projects Connections to other recent grads, and employees across the company as well as our leaders Your Impact Qualify leads generated from Marketing programs and promotions Research accounts and learn how to determine decision-makers and create an account plan Create own new opportunities for sales reps within a district Collaborate with partner sales teams to develop additional leads Present Palo Alto Networks Vision and present demos on products Shadow sales reps and sales campaigns
Qualifications (Additional Job Description)
Your Experience Have an interest in sales and the ability to demonstrate leadership skills Interested/willing to learn about cybersecurity. Proven ability to learn new technology quickly, adapt to changing needs and possess strong analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication Enthusiastic, driven and confident: the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the company’s mission, product and business opportunity Requirements – To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States. Please note that we will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
