Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Design Manager – Airport to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.

We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.  This is a newly created position.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the design team in coordinating design management meetings, working groups, progressive procurement activities, and tender review sessions.

  • Support the team in organizing and reviewing overall design and engineering submittals, including responses to the design consultants.

  • Track and manage open design and engineering issues with consultants to ensure timely resolution and closure.

  • Responsible for Requests for Information (RFI) management from various parties.

  • Capture and track discussion items, decisions, assumptions, risks, interfaces, and action items.

  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion of assigned actions.

  • Ensure design-related assumptions and interface issues are documented and escalated appropriately.

  • Review the submittals and/or design management documents for completeness and technical accuracy

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred requirements:

  • Degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related technical field

Additional Information

This position requires working on-site at client's office, five days per week.
