About the Role

As we continue to scale our Grocery business, we’re looking to hire an Associate Manager onto our Consumer growth pod! In this role, you’ll define key go-to-market strategies, launch and manage growth and quality initiatives, and dive into data to identify opportunities that will inform our product strategy. Every initiative you work on will impact the grocery business by focusing on identifying new ways to attract, retain and engage consumers. You will be solving problems like learning how we can create an end-to-end in-app grocery experience that's better than shopping in-store to defining how consumers shop for key categories like meat, produce, and dairy in the app. This role is based in New York or San Francisco. We operate in a hybrid and spend a few days a month in person together!

• Strategize. From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
• Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
• Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments
• Experiment. You’ll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes
• Build. You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll launch new products, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.
• Lead, collaborate and Influence. You’ll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale the Grocery business.

• You have 4-6+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in similar cultures that are highly analytical and cross-functional (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).

• You're entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
• You’re analytical. You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in excel.
• You solve problems from first principles. You have a talent for synthesizing complex problems, can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing a process
• You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
• You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environment
• You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
