You will operate confidently in a matrix environment, leveraging relationships, influence and deep regulatory insight to help the business grow responsibly across Africa.

The Right Mindset

- Relationship‑driven — you build trust quickly and influence effectively across levels, functions and geographies.
- Pragmatic problem‑solver — able to cut through complexity and focus on solutions, not theory.

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping bridge the gap between compliance, risk and commercial objectives.
- Proactively identify emerging regulatory and business risks, prioritizing what truly matters and guiding the business through informed decision‑making.
- Embed compliance by design, ensuring controls enable — rather than obstruct — innovation and growth.
Leadership & Execution
- Lead, inspire and develop high‑performing Compliance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Build future‑ready capabilities by aligning people, processes and systems to the long‑term roadmap.
- Take ownership of delivery — driving outcomes, not just frameworks — and ensuring commitments are executed timeously.

Collaboration & Influence
- Operate effectively within a global, matrixed organisation, influencing without authority where required.
- Partner closely with Legal, Privacy, GAA, Data Governance, Technology, Corporate Investigations and Business teams to deliver joined‑up outcomes.
- Share regional insights and best practices to shape and strengthen the global compliance programme.
