You will be reporting directly to the Manager of field Engineering.

The impact you will have:

• Create excitement from clients about Databricks with our rich offering of 1-many webinars, customer office hours, hands-on evaluation, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem, 3rd party applications and partners.
• Form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory, working with account executives and wider Databricks stakeholders to provide technical and business value.
• Help build the Databricks technical footprint through engagement at business reviews, workshops, Data and GenAI events and meet-ups.
• Become a Big Data Analytics advisor on aspects of architecture and design.
• Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
• Develop both technically and in the pre-sales aspect with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Architect.
• You will advise our customers as a trusted advisor on how to best realize their Data and GenAI use cases.

What we look for:

• Experience, technical customer-facing and with a background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing or Data Science / Machine Learning.
• You will work with customers within Digital Native, Emerging enterprises, and Start-up companies. We welcome experience in any vertical that is interested in working in these verticals.
• Experience of Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients
• Familiarity working with internal and/or external clients, creating a narrative, answering customer questions, aligning the agenda with important interests, and achieving tangible outcomes.
• Ability to independently deliver a technical proposition, identify customers' pain points and explain important areas for business value to develop a trusted advisor skillset.
• Code in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledgeable in a core Big Data Analytics domain with some exposure to advanced proofs-of-concept and an understanding of a major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) preference in AWS or Azure but not essential.
• Experience diving deeper into solution architecture and design.
• The role requires travel to customer sites and ideally candidate is able to commute to Amsterdam offices regularly
• Nice to have: Databricks Certification
• The candidate must be able to commute to Amsterdam offices regularly and traveling approx. 20-30% of the time across Benelux Region for customer visits
