About the Role
We’re looking for a highly analytical, commercially minded Logistics Analyst to elevate our end‑to‑end logistics performance across the European supply chain for all business units. This role sits at the intersection of operations, procurement, and customer service—driving data‑backed decisions that reduce cost and improve reliability in a highly regulated environment. You’ll be the company’s expert on transport & warehouse performance, market intelligence, and optimization opportunities across road, sea, intermodal, and bulk logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Performance & Analytics
Analyse service performance of carriers by building comprehensive dashboarding and analytic tooling for on time delivery to customers and for primary transport
Analyse Cost by building comprehensive dashboarding and analytic tooling on a.o.:
Cost per lane
Special services (accessorial costs)
Demurrage/detention/dwell time
Conduct deep‑dive root‑cause analyses on service failures, delays, and cost variances and define preventive actions
Model transport scenarios to support strategic decisions (network redesign, modal shifts, consolidation, carrier mix).
Warehouse Performance & Analytics
Develop and maintain advanced dashboards tracking warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy, throughput, pick/pack performance, dwell time, cost per pallet, service levels).
Conduct root‑cause analyses on operational deviations (mis‑picks, damages, delays, stock discrepancies).
Supply Chain Excellence
Support implementation of SC Visibility tooling/control tower
Use AI and machine learning to create models for improvement
Partner with logistics operations to improve service and efficiency
LOTIF, transport performance, reporting (Setup, structure data and report performance help to drive improvement)
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
Cost Optimization Support
Analyze freight spend across regions, modes, and carriers to identify savings opportunities.
Analyze warehouse cost drivers (labor, storage, handling, value‑added services) to identify efficiency and savings opportunities.
Benchmark 3PL performance and cost structures within the region
Build a cost control mechanism/tooling with the Hub team to check actual delivery services done versus invoiced
Skills & Experience
Must‑Have
5+ years in transport, logistics, or supply chain analytics—ideally in chemicals, industrials, or other regulated sectors.
Advanced analytical skills: Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, or similar.
Skills and experience in AI tools and machine learning
Experience with SAP, TMS.
Proven ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
Strong understanding of transport regulations (ADR, IMDG, CLP), chemical warehousing regulations and safe handling requirements.
Nice‑to‑Have
Experience with network modelling tools (Llamasoft, Coupa, AIMMS ).
Knowledge of sustainability metrics (CO₂ reporting, green logistics).
Lean/Six Sigma certification.
Exposure to S&OP or integrated business planning.
