What you’ll do
The Senior IT Systems Engineer for Corporate Engineering role involves building, integrating, and monitoring internal tooling infrastructure at Brex, focusing on efficient and automated business processes, data-driven decision-making, and integrating internal services, data sources, and SaaS tools.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in the office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale IT infrastructure, services and tooling
- Work with a diverse group of IT partners to optimize our provided services
- Implement new services in support of Information Technologies vision
- Scale our services by implementing configuration as code via Terraform providers or APIs
- Operationalize and upskill IT and its partners by producing documentation and leading training sessions
- Evangelize best practices both internally and externally facing
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Fluency in DevOps Concepts, working with Github, Terraform and configuration as code
- Experience in identity access management and including Okta, SAML, OIDC, OAuth
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate complete technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus points
- Advanced knowledge of Intune or enterprise patch management tooling
- Advanced knowledge of Python
- Strong technical writing skills
- Previous experience in an IT support role
- Experience managing macOS or Windows systems at scale
- Familiarity with Github Actions, Tines and Linear
- Experience with Google Workspace administration
- Experience with micro-services-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
The expected salary range for this role is $172,000 - $215,000 USD.
