While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

The FP&A team is at the heart of Coinbase's strategic execution, translating our ambitious mission to unlock economic freedom into a sustainable financial reality. We ensure the company's resources are deployed effectively, providing the data-driven guidance that fuels our growth and powers the future of finance. We own the company’s financial roadmap, from the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts to the in-depth business reviews that ensure we drive efficiency and make informed trade offs.

Corporate FP&A is the central hub of finance at Coinbase. We empower the broader FP&A organization by building and running company-wide processes, managing core financial systems, and serving as the bridge between FP&A and the rest of Finance. In this role, you will own key financial rhythms while partnering directly with leaders across core functions to support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial management.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Own Core Processes: Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles end-to-end. Coordinate inputs across teams, consolidate results, and translate outputs into clear insights for finance leadership.
• Drive Planning & Reporting: Support annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting. Ensure budget datasets are accurate, timely, and decision-ready. Support executive financial reviews and help build Board materials.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the primary finance point of contact for core functions, partnering closely with business leaders to guide budgeting, operating expense management, and overall financial performance.
• Optimize Workflows: Identify and implement process improvements across FP&A, leveraging automation and AI tools to increase efficiency and scalability.

What we look for in you:

• Relevant Experience: 2–4+ years of experience in FP&A in corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or a related analytical field with strong financial modeling skills.
• Analytical Precision: An exceptional eye for detail and high bar for accuracy in financial reporting, forecasting, and data management.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work across multiple teams and translate complex financial topics into clear, concise updates for leadership.
• Efficiency Mindset: Experience improving financial processes, particularly through the use of modern systems, automation, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Ownership & Accountability: A proactive teammate who takes accountability, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and follows through on deliverables.
• Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices to deliver business‑ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.

Nice to haves:

• Systems Proficiency: Comfort working in core financial systems such as Anaplan or NetSuite, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot independently.
• Technical Skills: Ability to manipulate and analyze data (e.g., SQL) and thoughtfully incorporate AI tools into day-to-day financial workflows.
• Industry Interest: A genuine interest in crypto and an understanding of the broader financial and competitive landscape.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$108,630—$127,800 USD
