Job Responsibilities
The Sr Tech Vendor Relations Analyst will oversee the management of our telecommunications expenses and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of telecom services, contracts, and billing structures. They will be responsible for optimizing our telecom expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Core Responsibilities
• Serves as the Vendor Relationship Owner (VRO) for assigned vendors.
• Maintains strong relationships with vendors.
• Evaluates vendor performance, conducts vendor risk assessments and scheduled vendor reviews. • Manages all related vendor contracts and facilitates contract negotiation.
• Manage and analyze telecom expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Managing the acquisition of mobile devices and services.
• Knowledge of and understanding of pricing and benchmarking of telecom services
• Forensic analysis of telecom invoices inclusive of receiving, reviewing, approving, auditing, optimizing, processing, validating payment, etc
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize telecom expenses while maintaining service quality
• Supports monthly allocation process ensuring technology costs are billed to the appropriate business unit (BU)
• Track telecom usage and trends to forecast future expenses and plan accordingly
• Coordinate with telecom vendors to negotiate contracts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Identify coding discrepancies to ensure accurate cost center and GL allocations
• Experience working with corporate managed devices and a Mobile Device Management Platform (such as Asignet, Cass Information Systems, Sakon, Rivermine, Tangoe, etc)
• Coordinate with fixed line vendors to provide periodic utilization stats for review by Tech partners.
• Support 'green' initiatives with responsible mobile recycle plan
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or equivalent experience
• Professional TEM certification preferred
• Two-years or equivalent customer service experience required
• Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner
• Exhibit results driven attitude to manage deadlines
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
• Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
• Proven performance demonstrating flexibility, ability to prioritize, and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Ability to conduct research on industry best practices/standards and effectively apply to situation
• Excellent PC skills, including excel, power point, process mapping software (Visio)
• Demonstrated familiarity with Accounts Payable procedures, invoice processing, and auditing
• A solid understanding of telecommunications and networking concepts, principles, and knowledge of systems connectivity to understand overall flow of leased services
• Prior experience reviewing, modifying legal contracts and documents (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, etc.)
• Deep understanding of the full life cycle of contracts
• Strong understanding of legal terms and conditions and demonstrated negotiation skills coupled with extensive knowledge of business and contract law related to Technology services
• Ability to manage projects with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Prior experience with the IT project initiation process and gathering business requirements
