DESCRIPTION:
The Payroll Team operates to a strict monthly schedule to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all statutory and third-party payments are processed in accordance with legal and company requirements.
The Payroll Analyst I supports the UK & Ireland payroll process across one or more country payrolls. The role requires a good understanding of payroll processing, including working with third-party payroll vendors, validating payroll inputs and outputs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves interaction with employees, payroll vendors, and internal stakeholders such as Colleague Services, Finance, and HR. The Payroll Analyst I is expected to develop in-depth knowledge of assigned country payrolls, benefits, and company payment policies.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Payroll Team in processing assigned payrolls and all administrative tasks related to the monthly payroll process.
· Perform payroll checks and validations to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Address payroll inquiries and help resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
· Support payroll accounting entries, reporting, and variance analysis with Finance
· Adhere strictly to payroll calendars, processes, and control frameworks
· Maintain compliance with internal control and audit standards
· Participate in PPI and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
· Proven experience supporting UK/Ireland payroll processing
· Experience working with third-party payroll vendors
· Strong numerical skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
