Software Engineer, Backend

We are looking for a software engineer within the Consumer Product Group.

In this role, you will be a founding engineer on a new team, designing and launching a new product offering on Coinbase.

What you'll be doing:

• Backend systems design and architecture for the new Coinbase for Business product
• Writing code and building prototypes as needed for the MVP and future vision concepts for Coinbase for Business including international payments, payroll, invoices etc.
• Collaboration across Coinbase teams to launch supporting features - onboarding, multi-user, payment rails, tax, settings, commerce integrations etc.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

What we look for in you:

• You have at least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• You’ve designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture.
• You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice to haves:

• You've worked on engineering teams in the fintech space building financial and payments systems.
• You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
• You’ve worked with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or Redshift.
• You have Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.

Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$152,405—$179,300 USD
