Job Details
Key Tasks1. Data Analysis and Reporting:a. Analyse data from warehousing, transport, and logistics operations to identify trends,inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.b. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights forstakeholders.c. Perform root cause analysis on operational challenges and recommend solutions toimprove performance and profitability.2. Network Modelling and Optimisation:a. Utilise tools such as ‘Optilogic’ and other network modelling platforms to design andoptimise Alloga Europe’s transport network, including warehouse locations, transportroutes, and inventory flows.b. Conduct scenario planning and simulations to evaluate cost-saving opportunities andoperational improvements.c. Provide insights into capacity planning, freight Optimisation, and service levelimprovements using modelling techniques.d. Ensure the transport network is designed to support long-term scalability and alignmentwith commercial strategies.3. Commercial Collaboration and Customer Synergies:a. Work closely with the commercial team to understand specific customer requirements andalign them with operational strategies.b. Analyse and identify synergies between the client’s network and Alloga’s logisticsnetwork, offering tailored solutions that drive value for both parties.c. Support customer tenders, proposals, and presentations by providing data-driven insightsand operational recommendations.d. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure the transport network design supportscustomer acquisition and retention strategies.4. Operational P&L Interrogation:a. Conduct detailed analysis of the operational P&L to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies,and opportunities for margin improvement.b. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership to enhance profitability acrosswarehousing, transport, and logistics operations.c. Monitor financial performance metrics and ensure alignment with budgetary and strategicgoals.5. Stakeholder Collaboration:a. Partner with Operations Directors, Continuous Improvement Teams, WarehouseManagers, Transport Teams, and supply chain stakeholders to understand operationalneeds and deliver tailored analytical solutions.b. Work with IT and data teams to ensure seamless integration of data into modelling toolsand systems.c. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionablemanner.6. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:a. Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and systems by leveraging datainsights and modelling tools.b. Support the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to improve logisticsefficiency.c. Monitor the impact of changes and ensure alignment with business goals.7. Project Management:

Key Skills and Competencies:Analytical Skills: Strong ability to collect, interpret, and analyse large volumes of data from diversesources.Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical findings tonon-technical stakeholders.Technical Proficiency:o Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).o Experience with network modelling tools such as Optilogic, Llamasoft, or similar platforms.o Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., Warehouse Management Systems, TransportManagement Systems).Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meetdeadlines.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science,Business Analytics, or a related field is an advantage.Knowledge of warehouse and transport operations is required; experience ingeneral logistics is an advantage.Personal Attributes:Experience in network optimisation and simulation modelling is an advantage.Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as inventory management, transportrouting, and capacity planning.Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams anddepartments.Key Working Relationships:European Operations DirectorTransport TeamsOperations DirectorsCommercial Team
