Position Summary
As a Senior Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting seamless lab and warehouse operations. You’ll manage inventory control processes across multiple locations, ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and service delivery while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control activities, including replenishment, order processing, and stock tracking
- Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Utilize ERP systems and Excel to monitor inventory levels, generate reports, and analyze trends
- Operate handheld scanners and inventory management systems to track material movement
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to optimize inventory processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with GMP, safety, and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inventory-related inquiries and issues
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Work in various environments, including warehouses, laboratories, and temperature-controlled areas
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma OR GED Required
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with cycle counting, reconciliation, and inventory reporting
- Ability to use handheld scanners and inventory systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, laboratory, or healthcare settings)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30–40 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments, including cold rooms
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and lab coats
