As an Operational Procurement Specialist, you are a key enabler of Xylem’s operations. Your work ensures the right materials, services, and components arrive on time — supporting production, field teams, customers, and long‑term project success.
This role blends analysis, supplier engagement, coordination, and execution. You’ll support sourcing efforts, manage purchase orders, conduct market research, and help align purchasing activities with business priorities.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll contribute directly to the performance and reliability of Xylem’s supply chain, including:
- 📝 Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- 🔍 Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and competitive price analysis.
- 🤝 Participate in supplier evaluations and support negotiations.
- 📦 Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring materials are available when needed.
- 💬 Collaborate across teams — engineering, operations, finance, logistics — to maintain alignment.
- 📊 Assist with data analysis, forecasting, reporting, and budget considerations.
- 🛡️ Support contract management, compliance, and risk assessment activities.
- 🔄 Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within procurement and supply chain processes.

📍 Location & Work Style
- Location: Plymouth, Minnesota
- Environment: Office‑based, collaborative, and fast‑paced
- Team: Works closely with senior buyers, procurement supervisors, and cross‑functional partners
💰 What We Offer:
- The estimated salary range for this position is $65.000 / $70,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills and experience.
