Systems Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the stability, deployment, and operational reliability of our cloud-based healthcare platform. This role works closely with engineering and QA teams to manage cloud environments, support deployments, monitor system performance, and assist with troubleshooting production issues.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain cloud-based application environments
  • Support application deployments across development, QA, and production environments
  • Assist in evolving CI/CD pipelines and reducing manual deployment processes
  • Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization across cloud services
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues across services and databases
  • Support developers in analyzing logs, metrics, and system behavior during incidents
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure cost and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Support security best practices including access control and monitoring
  • Maintain documentation for environment configuration and deployment processes

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience working with cloud-hosted application environments
  • Experience operating cloud-hosted systems on major platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Practical experience with AWS services is preferred given the current platform
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience supporting application deployments and release processes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipeline tooling
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues in distributed systems
  • Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and system behavior
  • Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation and debugging
  • Understanding of REST APIs and service interactions

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with Amazon RDS (MS SQL) and data warehouse platforms such as Amazon Redshift
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows virtual machine environments and basic system administration
  • Experience with AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch
  • Experience working with containerized applications
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting for operational tasks
  • Exposure to regulated systems such as healthcare platforms
