What makes this role exciting

We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and collaborative Software Engineer to help us define, build, maintain, and enhance the customer experience on our CloudPay platform. In this role, you’ll work closely with a diverse, global team of peers, customers, and stakeholders across functions, leveraging your analytical skills and modern collaboration tools to deliver impactful solutions.

Bringing proven software development expertise and a customer-focused mindset, using your skills to create solutions that drive real business value and support smooth, ongoing platform use for clients worldwide.

Main responsibilities

Analyze requirements, technical design, and implementing into new capabilities within the platform
Provide technical support for existing functionalities in production environment
Uphold code standards and best practices through code reviews, refactoring efforts, and peer mentoring
Engage in the identification and remediation of issues related to code / solutions quality, functionality or other problems in the technical and business domains
Document new or updated functionality as released
Participate actively in all aspects of the agile process and ceremonies to deliver usable functionality
This role follows hybrid work arrangement -4x onsite per month

Experience needed for this role

Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Spring (Boot) framework, with a passion for clean, efficient code
Experience with frontend frameworks like Angular, Vue, or React, contributing to seamless user experiences
Comfortable working with relational databases such as MySQL
Familiarity with development and deployment tools including Maven, Bamboo, Git, JIRA, and Bitbucket
Skilled in application performance tuning to optimize software efficiency
Excellent logical thinking, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail
Adaptability, and ability to thrive under tight deadlines and fast-paced release schedules

Desirable:

Proven experience working within Agile development methodologies, embracing flexibility and continuous improvement
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming practices to enhance code quality
Commitment to clean code principles and best practices
Background or interest in Payroll, HR, or financial domains is a plus
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and growing technical expertise
