The Opportunity

The Automation Testing team builds and maintains multiple product lines which enable users to manually and automatically test their APIs and execute workflows. If you’ve used Postman and are familiar with Scheduled Collection Runs, Monitors, the Collection Runner, Postman CLI, or newman, then you're already familiar with some of the products this team works on! Building such a variety of products means the team is capable of thinking of their feet, learning new things quickly, and balancing competing priorities.

• The Postman Monitors and Scheduled Collection Runs cloud platform sends more than 100 million requests every month. That’s a sustained ~37 RPS, without missing a beat!
• The underlying database manages over 100 terabytes of data, and uses managed infrastructure to send requests from regions across the globe.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the development of products while working with a cross-functional team of other Developers, Product Managers, Designers, Support and Product, Quality, Security and Platform Engineers.

• Quickly build functional prototypes to solve internal and external use-cases.

• Contribute to the planning and development of major user-facing features.

• Advocate better practises for software engineering by mentoring and encouraging others around you to build a quality product that is secure by design.

• Perform code reviews.

• Own and execute end-to-end initiatives.

About You

• 3-5 years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at large-scale

• Proficient with React.Js, Javascript/Typescript, node.js and a strong understanding of web fundamentals. Past experience working on API platforms and developer tools is a big plus.

• Strong fundamentals in operating systems, networking, and software design

• You enjoy learning and sharing knowledge within and across teams.

• You have a product-oriented mindset and empathy for the users. 

• Experience and Excitement towards working with global, distributed teams.

This position requires you to be present in our Bangalore office on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
