Director of Product Marketing, New Verticals

We're hiring a Director of Product Marketing, New Verticals to lead the go-to-market strategy as we expand beyond our core rent product.
This is a high-impact role that will actively shape the future of Flex and how bills are paid for consumers.
As a core leader within our New Verticals division, you will work closely with the General Manager, strategy, and product leads to launch new products and reposition Flex in the market.
This is a unique opportunity to own GTM for a 0-1 launch and new business unit, defining the strategy from the ground up.
We're looking for a leader who is both a strategic visionary and a hands-on executor—you'll need to roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds to drive results.
This role offers remote flexibility within a hybrid work model in either the NYC or San Francisco.
Candidates relocating to the NYC or SF area may be eligible for relocation assistance.
What you'll do
- Lead go-to-market strategy: develop & execute the go-to-market strategy for our new verticals ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Own product positioning: Define and manage the product’s core messaging and value proposition. You will craft compelling narratives and customer profiles that ensure competitive positioning, and build frameworks for consistency across all channels.
- Drive product growth: Partner with product and CRM teams to develop in-product messaging and lifecycle comms to drive engagement and retention.
- Champion market & customer insights: You'll conduct primary research and partner with our research team to synthesize a holistic view of the market, serving as the voice of the customer to inform product positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy.
- Establish & own key metrics: Help define and track key success metrics, establishing OKRs for product marketing, and ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with 3+ years in a leadership role in high-growth consumer or fintech environments.
- Proven success: You’ve led go-to-market for new consumer products (0-1) with a large user base under stringent regulatory and quality requirements.
- Strategic influence: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.
- Exceptional analytical skills: Adept at translating complex data into actionable insights that inform product and business decisions.
- A blend of strategic and hands-on experience: You can define a high-level strategy and also dive into the details of execution. You have an outcome-oriented mindset with a strong bias for action.
_The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range is $200,000-$211,000.
