The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the delivery of secure, scalable, and reusable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, translating business requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs that align with enterprise architecture and security standards.

This is a 12 month contract role.

What you'll do:

Design high-level and detailed cloud architectures for Azure-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reusability.
Translate business requirements into clear technical designs, including architecture diagrams and documentation.
Develop and implement Azure DevOps pipelines and support Infrastructure as Code practices.
Design and support Azure networking solutions, including hybrid connectivity and secure web ingress patterns.
Ensure solutions comply with Australian Government security frameworks, including ISM, Essential Eight, and OWASP principles.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, cyber security teams, developers, and operations to achieve design approval and alignment.
Provide technical leadership and guidance across cloud engineering and solution delivery teams.
Support the implementation and optimisation of Azure cloud services, including emerging technologies such as AI and data services.
Contribute to agile delivery practices while working with minimal supervision.
Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and solution artefacts.

What you'll bring:

Proven experience designing Azure cloud solutions, including HLD and DLD documentation and reusable architecture patterns.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, DevOps pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with Azure networking, including hybrid cloud architecture and secure ingress/egress design.
Strong understanding and application of security frameworks, including ISM, Essential Eight, and OWASP.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders across architecture, security, and engineering teams.
Broad knowledge of Azure platform services, including AI, data, integration, API management, and DevOps toolchains (desirable).
Ability to work independently within agile environments and manage competing priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and designs.
