Sunbilt invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for an opportunity to work with our devoted team, as a Sales Clerk/ Warehouse Assistant. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The primary responsibilities of this post are to actively seek out and engage customers by promoting merchandise in the housewares department, ensure customers’ needs are adequately met and exceeded, ensure departments are adequately stocked and appropriately merchandised, and ensure all transactions are completed accurately according to established procedures.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Assist customers and generate additional sales
Assist with the stocking of shelves
Advise Supervisor on ordering and purchasing of goods for resale
Assist with the receiving and delivering of goods
Assist with the loading, unloading, and proper storage of goods
Ensure proper and prompt handling of stock requisitions
Ensure the security of stock against pilferage
Assist in stock-taking and cycle counting
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Excellent customer service skills
Five CXC passes at General proficiency level including Mathematics and English Language
At least one (1) year of sales experience in the retail industry
Computer literate in at least Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Ability to act independently while performing required tasks
Ability to use tact and courtesy at all times
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well with other employees
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to coordinate activities between different locations
Ability to get individual and group tasks completed efficiently and on a timely basis
