Job Role:
We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Consultant having 6 – 7 years of experience with strong expertise in Compensation and Variable Pay to support ongoing operations, country rollouts, enhancements, and integrations. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting the comp process and ensuring compliance with global and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implementation & Solution Delivery
- Lead or support end‑to‑end implementation of SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules.
- Conduct business requirement workshops, gather functional requirements, and document solution design.
- Configure Compensation templates, eligibility rules, worksheets, guidelines, budgets, RTE (Real-Time Engine) setups, and Variable Pay program setups.
- Build and validate compensation cycle rules, lookup tables, business rules, route maps, and forms.
- Work with integration teams for data mapping, compensation planning sheet inputs, and data interfaces with HRIS/Payroll.
- Conduct client demos, system walkthroughs, and configuration review sessions.
2. AMS Support / Production Support
- Provide ongoing operational support for enterprise customers’ annual and off-cycle compensation cycles.
- Troubleshoot compensation/variable pay calculation issues, eligibility inconsistencies, and form/workflow errors.
- Support cycle preparation activities including data loads, template adjustments, permissions, launch/simulation cycles, and user readiness.
- Provide root-cause analysis and timely resolution for production tickets.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and provide proactive issue identification and resolution.
3. Testing & Deployment
- Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and support SIT/UAT cycles.
- Perform regression testing during quarterly release upgrades.
- Work with QA teams and customer testers to ensure solution quality.
- Support cutover planning, template deployment, and go-live activities.
4. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Collaborate closely with HR business teams, compensation SMEs, HRIS teams, and global process owners.
- Serve as a functional advisor to customers on best practices for compensation planning.
- Communicate effectively to manage expectations and provide recommendations.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain configuration workbooks, FSDs, change request documents, and process documentation.
- Ensure implementation and support activities comply with client security and audit requirements.
- Provide user training, quick reference guides, and process documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Expertise
- 6–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors with a minimum of 3+ end‑to‑end implementations in Compensation and Variable Pay.
- Strong understanding of:
- Compensation cycles, budgeting, guidelines, and salary review processes.
- Incentive/bonus calculation logic and business rules.
- EC Foundation, EC Job Info/Comp Info, and their dependencies on Compensation.
- Rater configurations, permissions, worksheets, and executive review.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- Compensation worksheets & modeling
- Lookup tables, business rules, RBP
- MDF objects related to Compensation
- Variable Pay calculation/assignment groups, business goals, and payout curves
- Good understanding of data migration, CSV templates, and integration touchpoints (EC, Payroll, BI, Integration Center).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customers and cycles simultaneously.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
