On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on DoorDash.
About the Role
As a Merchant Strategy & Operations Manager at DoorDash, you will lead the support experience for our merchants, owning both the strategy & execution of how we serve them once they’re live on the platform.

- Strategize – Build the strategy for helping merchants succeed once they’re live on DoorDash by providing fast and seamless solutions when merchants face issues, minimizing operational friction
- Experiment, Analyze and Implement – Use data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment to drive go-to-market & execution for new initiatives to help merchants have the best experience on Doordash
- Influence – Work cross-functionally with our product, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and analytics teams to land key initiatives
We're excited about you because…
- You have a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience and experience leading a team are a plus
- You're analytical and dig deep to understand a problem, using both quantitative and qualitative data; SQL experience is a strong plus
- You have an ownership mentality and are excited to think about problems using first principles, inspiring action to create the future
- You lead from the front and inspire followership across levels and functions
- You communicate early and often and can distill complex topics into a summary for stakeholders at all levels -- both written and verbal
- You can build a plan to hit your goals and consistently operate with focus and drive
- You have experience in launching finance, tax, and/or reporting products for customers
- You have experience managing teams and driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
- You have a bias for action, are energized by ambiguity, and take ownership from start to finish
- You’re naturally curious – You always look for ways to innovate and improve
- You’re a problem solver – You approach problems from first principles and thoughtfully challenge the status quo
- You’re analytical – You rely on data to guide decisions, and are comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
- You’re persuasive and a relationship-builder – You communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your style to collaborate and build alignment across teams and levels.

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

See below for paid time off details:
- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$136,000—$200,000 USD
